Year Long Program 2019 - Shame, Attachment Theory, Empathic Listening, Anger - Beginning Jan. 11, 2019 (Video Conferencing or Self-paced)
Is this you?
You are dedicated to living an authentic life with compassion for yourself and others. You understand living from authenticity and compassion requires an expansive and discerning mind as well as practical skills. You are willing to practice mindfulness and relationship skills in a safe environment that includes vulnerability and self-reflection. You are ready for support in working with shame, cultivating secure attachment, empathic listening, and practicing with anger.
What is it all about?
Mindful Compassionate Dialogue naturally supports you in creating the relationships you want by integrating the wisdom and skills of three powerful modalities: Hakomi, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and Mindfulness.
Hakomi offers clarity about reactivity and healing, NVC offers a means for self-responsibility, skillful communication, and agency, and Mindfulness allows you to cultivate the stable attention and the clear focus needed to continuously refine your relationship to experience.
Teaching and learning is experientially focused. I will introduce a concept and skill and then you will take time in a structured exercise in a small group or pair to practice and integrate what you are learning (if you attend the self-paced course it's helpful to have someone doing it with you). You will learn using examples that you choose from your own life.
There will be an opportunity to get paired with an empathy buddy for practice outside class time.
Courses can be attended live or via receiving the recordings & materials. (Live attendance is sold out. You can still attend via self-paced by receiving the recordings and materials each week). Live participants will not be shown on the video recordings, only I will be show in the video. All audio is heard and recorded. In addition to class discussion in real time, questions can be sent via email during the series. See more details below.
When registering for the year long program you receive a 15% discount compared to registering for one series at a time.
